Oh Christy 03:23
Oh Christy Don’t You Know ? (Traditional - adapted Gram Partisans) (May 30) Christy Clark, its time to change, the way you treat our schools is strange, Now everybody is watching ……….. Oh Christy don’t you know? Our schools have sunk while in your hands, to the lowest funded in the land, Now everybody is watching …………Oh Christy don’t you know? Oh Christy can’t you see, don’t you know? Oh Christy can’t you see, don’t you know? Everybody is watching ………… Oh Christy don’t you know? When you tore things up back in ’02, supports were cut and the class size grew, Now everybody is watching………….. Oh Christy don’t you know? For twelve long years, our kids have paid, for all the cuts that you have made, Now everybody is watching ………… Oh Christy don’t you know? The courts told you to make it right, but you still insist we fight, Now everybody is watching ………… Oh Christy don’t you know? \ Oh Christy can’t you see, don’t you know? Oh Christy can’t you see, don’t you know? Everybody is watching ……… Oh Christy don’t you know? Now you’ve made this bed and here we lie, but we’ll never stop, we’ll always try, And everybody is watching ………….. Oh Christy don’t you know? Now Christy it is up to you, you can bring change if you want to, Everybody is watching …………… Oh Christy don’t you know? Oh Christy can’t you see, don’t you know? Oh Christy can’t you see, don’t you know? Everybody is watching ……….. Oh Christy don’t you know? Everybody is wa-a-a-tching …..oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh Christy …..don’t you …. know? (www.grampartisans.com)

Bring it Back (Gram Partisans) (June 9) Once upon a time ……not too long ago ……There were some guarantees …… Of service for our kids … in all the public schools …at levels that met their needs
Then these guarantees were trashed, by a government who said,
That they weren't worth the money,
Now the system has been starved for twelve long years, but we will not let this be
Bring it back …. bring it back ……… Support for special needs, Bring it back …. bring it back ……… To what the class size used to be, Bring it back …. bring it back ……… to what our kids all need, Bring it back …. bring it back ……… To what the service used to be.

They said the wording was too cumbersome, and that it tied their hands,
Cause it ensured that there must be, Needed service for each child, in a timely way, and with a guarantee.

So they tore up teachers’ contract, that made them do it right,
They said this would set us free,
And the name for the cutbacks that they had planned, was flexibility.
No support for every child ? ……………Flexibility ! Not in a timely way? ……………………Flexibility ! No support for one to one? ………….. Flexibility ! Kids without the help they need … EVERY SINGLE DAY !
Bring it back …. bring it back ……… Support for special needs, Bring it back …. bring it back ……… To what the class size used to be, Bring it back …. bring it back ……… to what our kids all need, Bring it back …. bring it back ……… To what the service used to be.
Now the system ……. it is bleeding …… and everyone's upset ……..
And we're very far from where we once were …….
All the guarantees are gone ………. and there's nothing in their place …………
And so our kids just keep getting hurt …….. so-o-o-o-o-o Bring it back …. bring it back ……… Support for special needs, Bring it back …. bring it back ……… To what the class size used to be, Bring it back …. bring it back ……… to what our kids all need, Bring it back …. bring it back ……… To what the service used to be.
